Summer Skin

Lovely orb, hung in the vast above
reflecting light on the expanse below
The flick of a switch could turn on the light
but it is the moon, as our desires well know

The day deceives what the night will bring
for in the heat of light and ray
Societal coverings seem senseless
yet through sweat and work, on they stay

Luminous beams persuade us to shed
the barrier between our beings
Bodies now the only source of heat
darkness allowing this to be freeing

Lunar reign brings wind to awaken
the fervent warmth of our two cores
For in the toss and turn of sleepless
this inner heat beckons us to explore

Safely beneath the weight of my world
limbs anchored, yet easily swayed
Our spheres harmonized for a moment
the moon casting us in gleaming shade

  1. Hah, although I may just be crazy, I saw you were following my blog and I wasn't sure who you were. I'm still not entirely sure but very intrigued by your profile and more so on how you found me on here :)

I'm happy to be your blogging buddy however and love to tell you that you are an incredibly good writer. "...drifting..." gave me chills ;)

Keep it up mystery writer, I look forward to possibly finding out more about you some day.
